Refuse should be placed in the appropriate bins in either the refuse room located in the basement carpark near the bottom of the ramp or in the outside refuse store near the carpark entrance gate. Please ensure that any items that are being disposing of are segregated into:
- Mixed Recycling (paper/cardboard and rinsed cans, glass, plastic bottles, etc. should be put in clear bags and then placed or emptied into a mixed recycling (Blue) bin)
- Food Waste (should be put in the supplied bin liners marked ‘FOOD WASTE ONLY’ and then placed into a food waste (Black) bin)
- Non-recyclable Rubbish (should be contained in sealed black bags and then placed in a non-recyclable rubbish (Green) bin)
Spare recycling and food bags are kept in the cupboards beneath the post boxes.
Larger items such as fridges, ovens, TVs, computers, furniture, etc. should either be taken to a local household recycling centre or their collection must be arranged and paid for by residents themselves.
